Was it for the LiveEarth concert mate? Did you see the trash after the concert, 'kinell none of the concert goer actually learnt anything. The message was lost to those idiots. There was one artists/singer who was performing at Aussie land, he was wearing a t-shirt saying "Say No to Nuclear Power", fecking idiot. He didn't sing well either, such a twunt ... :banghead:

I saw that Dan, and some people are just bandwagon jumpers without really knowing anything. But did you see some of the Americans on the street bit, some were cynical of Gore and the campaign, and they said something like "it depends which scientist you are listening to." Good answer in my opinion. Also a young girl who said that global warming is a natural phenomenon and there's nothing to fear. It was well-balanced I thought.

I think Forficula meant the older clip where Gore's supposed to be eloquent when he first gained his fame over this global warming cause. I noticed his heavy makeup and lipstick too on that one.

Forfi, for tv makeup is necessary, but the makeup for Gore was too much, his lips were to red. Usually makeup artists do a good job, maybe in this case, his makeup artist didn't care for Al Gore's global warming BS (pardon my mandarin  ).

I thought some of the performance weren't all that good mate, the artistes looked sloppy like they are just pushing themselves to do it, a PR stunt nothing else.

I thought it was a good concert, and good effort all around to improve awareness. After the concert I see many of my mates becoming more aware and asking questions.

Everybody's talking about global warming now, even those who were not interested before. Al Gore also got some good reviews, if he were to run for President, his present popularity may just clinch it for him. Unlikely though, especially since he got beaten by Bush the last time around. I'm sure he's not keen for a repeat, he has a good thing going for him here. Like Dan said, it is unfortunate that the proceeds are going to Gore's GW funds. Hey, I just realised that GW stands for both Global Warming and George Bush ... :lmao:

Did you guys see the mess left by the concert goers?

The upsurge in Gore's new found celebrity status is linked if not directly to Bush's an all-new-low in the public opinion polls in Iraq. The chinese whispers over here seem to suggest that Americans generally want a more environmentally-concerned President and weren't to impressed by Bush's recent achievement in getting North Korea to an agreement to get weapons inspector for the first time into the country. That said, would Republican presidential candidates for the next election are distancing themselves from Bush and are actually saying things like "America has to do more for the environment", etc.
